Today saw us heading off from Gin Gin with the plan to stop overnight at Kershaw Gardens in the heart of Rockhampton. We hit the road at 9am, then had a stop in Miriamvale - which for the record has a fantastic playground for the kids to stretch their legs. We then drove onto Marmor where we found a side street with a playground fo another run around, while I raided the freezer stash for the Vegetarian Sausage Rolls for late lunch.
We rolled into Rockhampton about 3pm, however on arriving at Kershaw gardens, found it overpacked and unappealing. We made an improptu decision to continue on and aim for Marlborough Free Camp behind the service station on a large grass oval. We arrived just before dark, and the kids had a small window to kick a ball around, before dinner of Paprika Chicken (thank goodness for the frozen flatpacks of sauces) & BBQ Vegies were ready.
We finished the evening once the kids were in bed with some yummy Chocolate Puddings which are usually Greg's speciality when we are at home. These are a manual recipe (not on cookidoo) so come check out the video to see how to whip these up in your kitchen. Please let me know what you think when you give them a try...they are the perfect two serve dessert. We will see you tomorrow night from Mackay ~ Lisa Keegan ~
